Honorable mention in the InfraLIDER competition, in the RAILWAY category – project “Fiber optics in the diagnostics of a high-speed railway line”
On April 23-25, we took part in InfraDays. On the second day, during the bridge session, the event participants had the opportunity to see our presentation “Fiber optic sensors – a breakthrough in monitoring the safety of structures.”
We would like to thank you for coming in such large numbers and asking the questions both after the presentation and later, during conversations at our booth.
We are pleased to announce that our project “Fiber optics in the diagnostics of a high-speed railway line” received an honorable mention in the InfraLIDER competition, in the RAILWAYS category. We received the award at the Gala.
Fiber optics in the diagnostics of a high-speed railway line
This railway diagnostic system in question is the first of its kind in the world. More than 2 km of fiber optic sensors were glued along the rail, enabling geometrically continuous measurements of strains, temperatures, vibrations and displacements. The project used monolithic EpsilonFlat sensors, characterized by excellent accuracy, resistance and durability. The system is dedicated to long-term static measurements and dynamic analysis during train runs.
